Addingham Moorside
Fairly new to Horsforth but this venue has played host to many trials in the past including British rounds. Plenty of huge boulders and rocky outcrops on the hillside to play with. From Leeds turn left up Cocking Lane off the A65 between Ilkley and Addingham . Then turn left where marked with the arrow. If you get to Silsden you've gone too far.

Blubberhouses
Map Ref 6. Redshaw Gill is a small wooded area on the far side of the moor at Blubberhouses and Cats Crags are on the South side visible from the A59 just west of Fewston reservoir. Both parts and the moor in between are now normally used just for the Group trial in March. There are restrictions as to where we can park and ride so please stick to the specified parking area and the marked course

Deer Park
Map Ref 7. No water at this venue but cracking views over the Aire Valley. A great venue and although we have lost the wooded hillside there are plenty of rocks of all sizes to play with. Usually an excellent day out especially when the sun shines in August. Sheep are about so remember to keep the gate shut and don't let any dogs anywhere near the sheep. Head up the hill from Bingley to Eldwick turn left up Lady Lane and its about half a mile on the left.

Dry Gill
Map Ref 4. Our smallest piece of land but no less enjoyable for it. Spectators can often see half a dozen sections at once. Most of the sections are in the eponymous dry gill (but ask Martin what it's like after a downpour!). Sheep present so remember to close the gate coming in and going out and don't let any dogs anywhere near the sheep. Just west of Stump Cross on the B6265.

Greenhow
Map Ref 5. A drop of rain and this place is renowned for having the slipperiest grass you've ever tried to stand up on. This innocuous looking venue always takes more points than you'd expect. There's just enough natural features to provide an interesting trial, plus the infamous diesel tank. Once again sheep present so keep the gate shut and don't let any dogs near them. Just a stones throw from the Miners at Greenhow

Heck Gill Farm, Darley
Another new piece of land for 2009 courtesy of Rob Harker. Drive past the Sun Inn then over the A59, past Menwith Hill on the B6451 then right on Menwith Hill Road then left on Stumps Lane, then left down Heck Gill Lane.

Parkwood Off-road, Home Farm
Tong, Bradford Map Ref 8. A great mix of streams, wooded hillsides and rocks and big enough for a good blast between sections. Even in bad weather the woods provide protection from the wind and rain. There's a chuck wagon there too. Easy to find its just a couple of miles from M62 J27, just off the A650 in Tong Village. Don't let the missus go shopping at Ikea - we need her to observe.

Ramsgill
Map Ref 2. A great drive out by the side of Gouthwaite reservoir on the road North out of Pateley Bridge. A steeply wooded area around a rocky stream provides plenty of challenge. Sheltered but can be tricky between sections.

Stump Cross
Map Ref 1. A field with pot holes in and the famous Stump Cross caverns lurking somewhere underneath. An easy walk round for spectators, we might struggle to get a world round in here but there's enough for an enjoyable trial. All riders are welcome (and encouraged) to use the cafe in Stump Cross just over the road. Just up the B6265 from Dry Gill.

Swaine Woods
Map Ref 9. Our practice land on the ring road at Horsforth also used for the summer evening series. DON'T try and turn right across the traffic - go up to and round the Horsforth roundabout so you can pull off left and park on the grass not the path, similarly turn out downhill. NO ENGINES TO BE RUN OR RIDING OUTSIDE THE WOODS - the police will prosecute you and they will stop us using the venue. Give way to walkers, especially on the footpath - don't block the footpath outside the woods.
